Before diving into the world of manual therapy and osteopathy, I had a thriving career in corporate banking. Travelling the country for companies like Info-Tech Research Group, Yellow Pages, and American Express, I was immersed in the fast-paced world of finance. Yet, despite the success, I found myself burning out under the weight of stress and long hours, battling chronic aches and pains that affected both my posture and self-esteem.
Seeking a change, I explored various wellness practices like juicing, yoga, and meditation, but something felt amiss. It wasn't until my sister introduced me to Structural Integration that I found the missing piece. The transformation was profound. As my posture improved, so did my overall well-being. Anxiety waned, confidence surged, and my chronic back pain vanished. This life-altering experience compelled me to leave behind a lucrative career managing a $17 million portfolio at American Express Corporate. I embarked on a journey to become a manual practitioner, hoping to guide others toward similar transformations—from "dollars to sense," as they say. My training as a Manual Osteopath (D.O.M.P) and with The Guild has taken me across the globe, learning from esteemed Rolf Practitioners like Amber Burnham, Emmett Hutchins, and Sharon Wheeler. Over the past ten years, I've continued to deepen my expertise in manual osteopathy, working with a diverse range of clients, including professional athletes from the UFC, Olympics, NHL, NFL, and PGA, and in the teaching field as a paid guest lecturer at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Music Department and continuing education facilitator for Osteo practitioners. Working with a variety of clients gives me joy and it is a pleasure to work with individuals at different stages of their health and wellness journey. Voted top recommended osteopathic practitioner for Sun Life Financial and awarded “My Top Three” for osteopathic practitioners three years in a row. My goal is to be the best practitioner I can be for my clients. My journey isn't just about credentials; it's about connection. As I look back on the past decade, I'm filled with gratitude for the experiences that have shaped me into the practitioner and person I am today. I'm excited to continue this journey, supporting you on your path to optimal health and wellness. Thanks for taking time to get to know a little about me, I look forward to getting to know you! - Dani |
