Let me share a story with you... Before Structural Integration transformed my life, I was a successful businesswoman with a promising career in corporate banking. After a few years of travelling sales for Info-Tech Research Group, Yellow Pages and American Express, I was burning out and fast. The driving and high stress environments were taking their toll, adding chronic aches and pains to my already poor posture and self-esteem. I needed a change, big time. I tried juicing, yoga and meditation which were positive changes but I had a lingering feeling I couldn’t shake, that something was missing. My posture was still affecting my overall well-being and impacting other areas of my body, most notably, my back. As time went on, I began struggling more with anxiety and severe depression. One day my sister reached out and told me about a type of bodywork called "Structural Integration" that could change my posture for good. After researching and seeing so many common themes in testimonials of reduced anxiety, improved posture and overall sense of well-being; I had to try it.
My experience? Life changing. Once my structure was corrected, everything else seemed to fall into place. I experienced a holistic change. My anxieties were reduced! I felt confident when I looked in the mirror for the first time. I had a new level of self-awareness and mobility. On top of that, my back pain was gone. This had such a positive overall impact on my life that I decided to walk away from managing a 17 million dollar portfolio at American Express Corporate and become a manual practitioner in hopes of helping others in the same way. From dollars to sense. My training with The Guild has taken me to Kauai, Savannah and Salt Lake City, to live and learn under some of the top Rolf Practitioners in the world; Amber Burnham, Emmett Hutchins & Sharon Wheeler (educated directly by Dr. Ida Rolf). I hold my (D.O.M.P) in Osteopathy, and guest lecture in the Faculty of Music Department at Wilfred Laurier University. My goal is to be the best practitioner I can be for my clients. Thanks for taking time to get to know a little about me, I look forward to getting to know you! Dani |
